Our Story
Over the past seven years, IECG’s certified roof consultants have helped thousands of clients by conducting thorough investigations, assessments and inspections. Our building envelope consultants work on commercial roofs during and after installation as well as after major weather events such as hail storms and tornados.
As certified experts in our field throughout Texas and the United States, we stand by our commitment to consistently succeed in delivering prompt and effective roof consulting services.
To do this, we assembled an extensive team of multifaceted individuals with expertise across all phases of roof testing and installation. Our team of building envelope consultants has decades of combined experience in roofing, roof project management and roof testing.

Don Lamont
CEO, Certified Roof Consultant and RRO
Don Lamont is an experienced entrepreneur and an IIBEC Registered Roof Observer. He is the president and founder of multiple companies including an A2LA certified engineering lab. He has even published a book about storm damage. Don is also a certified NRCA trainer and IIBEC member.
Dale Acord
RRO and Senior Consultant
Dale Acord is an IIBEC Registered Roof Observer with over 50 years of experience in roofing. He has extensive experience with building envelope consulting and roof observing His years of knowledge combined with his many accreditations make him a stellar part of the IECG team.
Joe Combs
Certified Roof Consultant
Joe Combs began installing roofs with his father at just 11 years old. After his military service, he began his 26 year career in the roofing, material distribution and roof sales industries. Joe, who is an IIBEC member, has been with IECG for over a year now, and he never fails to add value to every project.
Our Mission
We want to transform the insurance, construction and roofing industries by accurately assessing all roofs to ensure proper installation through our expert observation. It is our goal to make sure that a fair resolution to insurance claims and warranty inquiries are reached.
